Lawyer David LI served as the mentor and judge of the Online Interview Competition for Professional Competence in the Yangtze River Delta area

 

Recently, Lawyer David LI was invited to be the mentor and judge of the first Online Interview Competition for Professional Competence in the Yangtze River Delta area. This competition was jointly organized by Young Lawyers Working Committee of Shanghai Lawyers Association, East China University of Political Science and Law Committee of Communist Youth League, Employment Office of Student Affairs Office of East China University of Politics and Law. This competition is aimed at improving law school students’ capacity to apply for a job and promoting the communication between law school students in the Yangtze River Delta area.

 

After gladly accepting the invitation, in accordance with the rules of competition, David shared his own career experience with contestants from different law schools and gave a lot of valuable advice to them at the very beginning. David also formulated the examination questions, and according to the performance of each contestant to score and evaluate every contestant. After the early competition, finally the top ten contestants were chosen to compete in the final competition held on 9th May,2020. Invited to act as the judge, David changed his style in order to enhance the difficulty. Not humor and amiable anymore like he used to be, David became a tough interviewer this time. The questions he presented gave much pressure to every contestant. The final competition was broadcast live at website Bilibili, which attracted a large number of viewers to cheer for each player in the broadcast room.

 

The final competition came to an ending in the evening and the judges awarded the first, second and third prizes according to the contestants' comprehensive performance. David said he was very glad to take part in this competition and he wished all contestants learn from this competition and improve their competitiveness in future job market.
