Lawyer Li Arbitrates Against Non-Delivery Seller on behalf of a Hongkong Company

In May 2012, one Hongkong Company signed a purchase contract to buy a batch of chemical raw materials from one Shandong Company. Due to the rising prices, the Shandong Company was reluctant to dispatch the goods according to the timeline. After being urged, they still didn’t perform its obligation. Therefore, the Hongkong Company purchased alternative products from other company to avoid further contract breaches with its clients.

The Hongkong Company entrusted Lawyer Xinli Li to file the arbitration to China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), in the request of compensation on price differential of the products purchasing. These claims finally were supported by the arbitral tribunal.
